"Thought breeds thought; children familiar with great thoughts take as naturally to thinking for themselves as the well-nourished body takes to growing; and we must bear in mind that growth, physical, intellectual, moral, spiritual, is the sole end of education." ~ Charlotte Mason

Summer Crochet Projects!

This summer has been bringing lots of babies with it! :)  So I have been working on special projects for the little ones and their Mommies! This first one is a baby blanket using the left over yarn I have in my bin.  It uses a combination of Double Crochet and a popcorn stitch.  I used the pattern:  Blackberry Striped Baby Blanket.  I was so pleased with the way it turned out.  It ended up being so colourful and soft!
This one my daughter made!  She made up her own pattern using a combination of the v-stitch, single crochet and a border.  It was made with 100% handcrafted cotton yarn from Bernat.  It was a lovely colour combination for a boy!
I made this one for another little baby boy (lots of boys being born).  It was a very fun pattern and I like the way it came together.  The colours were also just perfect for a boy.  This pattern came from the Bernat site.  You have to sign up to have access to the patterns but the membership is free, all you have to do is sign up.

I also worked on my shawls.  The last two in this picture are the shawls.
